I don't write much in this blog as frequently as I once did. I suppose there are a couple of reasons. One, I get really busy between having two jobs, taking classes, reading, and my infrequent attempts at working out. Two, sometimes I just have little interesting to say. Three, I just don't get as introspective as I can be, and thus am not in a writing mental framework. I selfishly admit that several of my updates are results of all the content falling off my page after 30 days. It's somewhat embarassing. Also, I want a consistent archive from month to month (no skipped months). Those are the general reasons that drive my infrequent updates.
On to other items....
I'm addicted to a new website, Lifehacker.com. Our Associate Director mentioned it to me last week, and I have spent HOURS pouring through the website. It's great. There are all sorts of geeky tips, tricks, and tweeks for computers, electronics, Windows, etc. There are also general life tidbits and lots of organizational nuggets. It houses just the sort of wonderful little morsels that I love to sink to sink my teeth in to. Love it!
I'm going to London this summer. My good friend Chase reminded me today that he will be in London for part of his summer position with Skadden. So for the price of airfare, I'll be using his housing as the base for London '06 : Journey to Normal London. YAY!!! I'm so excited about this!!! I've always wanted to go to the EU, and now I have an opportunity to do so in an inexpensive manner.
Other than that, life is quiet the last several weeks. High school basketball season ended, so I no longer work games. That frees up a lot of time and energy. I'm currently taking Government 370L: Campaigns and Elections. It's really cool. I'm behind on the reading (surprise, surprise). This weekend is catch up time for that. I also need to type all my handnotes into ye olde laptop this weekend. I'll be spending a lot of time at Mozart's.
The Horns are friggin' sweet ballers. First in the Big 12, and assuming we beat Kansas (we will!) we'll be the Big 12 Basketball Champions to go along with our Big 12 Football Champion banner (and National Championship banner, but who's counting). Eric and I went to the National Championship celebration in January. I'll post pics of that soon.
Otherwise, things are quiet and peaceful. It's interesting. I haven't felt this calm in a long while. And for once, I am not anticipating an impending storm.
